Vibra Bucket is a portable vibrating shaker or screener that makes fine-mesh screening fast and easy—field-ready and simple to unload. Screens sold separately, but not here. Suggest using 1/4", 8 and 12 Mesh.

Key Features

  • Portable vibrating shaker: Speeds up tedious fine-mesh screening using a compact 5-gal pail format.
  • Industrial drive: 30W, 115–120V AC vibrator with reinforced pail bottom and base plate for improved vibration to the screens.
  • Two-bucket system: Short 3.5-gal receiver sits above the motor; flat rim efficiently transfers vibration.
  • No vacuum lock: Rubber strips create a snug, vented fit—easy lift-out and pour every time.
  • Speed control: Start on full to stir heavy loads, then turn down to MEDIUM so sand stays on the mesh and finds holes faster. As soon as material is added, the sound is dampened.
  • Proven performance: With an 8 lb (≈½ gal) 3:1 mix of −12M/+12M placer sand, delivered ~97% in 1 minute and ~99% in 2 minutes at full vibration; MEDIUM often screens faster once material is moving.
  • Magnetite re-screening: A gallon of waste magnetite re-screens to −12M in ~15 seconds (heavier load also dampens sound).
  • Field power option: Run from a small 12V battery using the optional 150W inverter (sold separately).
  • Stays put: Tie the handle to a support to prevent “walking” during runs.

Detailed Description

The Vibra Bucket assists the otherwise tedious screening of fine-mesh sands. It mounts a 30W industrial vibrator inside a heavy-duty 5-gal steel pail with a reinforcing bottom board and base plate to keep the pail flat and ensure vibration up to the screens. A special short, flat-rim 3.5-gal plastic bucket fits above the motor to hold the screen and catch material; the flat rim transfers vibration efficiently from the steel pail. Rubber tape sections inside the rim make a snug fit while leaving small air gaps, so there’s no vacuum seal—your receiver lifts out easily for pouring.

In testing with an 8 lb (≈½ gal) 3:1 mix of −12M/+12M placer sand, the Vibra Bucket delivered ~97% in 1 minute and ~99% in 2 minutes at full vibration. After startup, turning the speed controller down to MEDIUM often screens faster because the sand rides the mesh and more particles find the holes. Full force is useful at the beginning for heavier loads, but shallower batches are recommended; stirring the sand in the screen helps when too much material is added. When any material is added, the noise is dampened.

A field demo re-screened a gallon of waste magnetite to −12M in about 15 seconds, and the added weight reduced noise. The vibration motor is 115–120V AC, and you can run it in the field from a small 12V DC battery using the optional 150W inverter. To prevent the unit from “walking,” tie a cord from the handle to a solid support.

CAUTION: High vibration hazard—do not hold with hands or feet during operation. Secure the unit before running. Screens sold separately elsewhere.
